The Silence That Deepens

I cannot abide trees that have been cut back and given arms that resemble the tarred stumps remaindered from the war between North and South, neither the manner which clouds fray, like soiled pennants, over and above everything. If I sound like anything it is the silence that deepens after the door to the soul has been closed.

i went to london with the vaudeville class and saw this absolutely amazing acoustic guitarist. everyone was chatting and milling about, and then he started to play. All you could hear the gentle music from his guitar as his fingers flew up and down the strings and his sweet voice echoed in our hearts. There wasn't another sound in the room - he left us mesmerised.
