I'm sick of the idiotic way DeviantART runs this site. I photograph bands and musicians. They don't know the meaning of the word photomanipulation or know anything about journalism. My photos have been in music magazines and newspapers as music photojournalism for years with no problem, but some but someone has taken them out of their correct category once again.
One of the photos in question:
Since when is black and white considered photomanipulation of ANY kind?
With such a narrowminded view of journalism, i would think they believe everything they read in the gossip magazines.
There is only one category for musicians, and that is the correct one for my photos. I shouldn't be treated with absolute disrespect and disdain by people who i have paid to provide a service for me.

It's like if someone moved my children's illustrations to fetish category
I can't understand why they keep moving your works (they also move Olivier's photos, not so much my works) while they keep a lot of madly photopanipulated works!
Nowadays in time of Photoshop it's clear that 90% of pictures IS MANIPULATED. Because manipulation is also to tune the colours. To retouch a spot on a face. ANYTHING. I understand.
But like that they should move MOST of works in Photography category to photomanips!!

Like this they should remove Photography gallery and leave just Photomanipulations
Maybe someone's just jealous or thinks you're getting popularity too quickly and wants to show you that no matter how popular you get, they will have their power on you...
Instead of doing sick things like this (imagine the time spent to relocate them all!) they should chase people who are stealing stuff and re-posting it... not to bother honest, good Artists.
But some websites are strange about controlling everything. In one website's Terms I've read that "moderators have right to remove ANY image if it does not fit in their taste for art. They also decide (by removing and relocating works) about the way user's gallery is developing"
